Dwayne “Tezz” Morgan is an American songwriter, producer, vocal/arranger

producer, singer, rapper and actor. He began his career with Sony/ BMG Music Publishing as a Songwriter/Producer. Most would agree that music is a great escape from the realities of life but only a select few have the gift to create music that inspires and enriches our lives. Dwayne Tezz Morgan is one of the fortunate

ones to have such talent. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio the eldest of five. Tezz began

is musical talents by performing different medleys for family events “i.e.” James

brown, Marvin Gaye, Isley Brothers, O’Jays, Slave and Bootsy Collins. Music

has always been an unstoppable force in his life.

Tezz gained his music skills from his family and it’s local church. There, he sung

in the choir, his mother wrote gospel/jazz music and his uncle trained him on the

bass guitar and singing. Tezz enrolled in The School of The Performing Arts in

Cincinnati where he learned how to play various instruments including piano, bass

trombone and his own singing voice. He began singing and writing songs while in

junior high school and performed with local singing groups. Tezz found the best

outlet for his creative expression to be in song writing and producing. He

discovered his own escape and began turning negative and positive energy from

the pressures of life into story telling musical masterpieces.

It was time to take the music on the road so Tezz decided to make his way to Los

Angeles. Do what you love and money will follow”; he left Ohio with faith,

twenty-one dollars and a one-way greyhound bus ticket bound for Los Angeles.

While developing his repertoire Tezz had the opportunity to tour as a performer,

opening for such acts as Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Made Men and Ms. Toi.

As his career continued to grow he continued to enhance his writing and

production skills by teaming up with hit makers One Up (Sisqo, Mya, J-Lo)

Kenny & Charlie Burrell (Whitney H Houston, Missy Elliott, Tweet, Angie Stone)

Da Neck-Bones (Eve, Bennie Segal, Dip Set) Bugaloo/Universal recording Artists

Ideal, Armond Flanagon, Anthony Dent (Destiny’s Child “Survivor”, Jay-Z Mya,

112) and the Co Stars (#LW, Sisco). Tezz’s moto of “When you do something

different and hot at the same time, you can’t lose has already proven itself true.

He acquired is first major label release entitled “Since I Blew” on Bell Biv Devoe

(BBD) latest effort. This release lead to his signing with Sony/ATV/GBM Music

Publishing. Since signing with Sony, Tezz has written songs for My Baby’s

Daddy Soundtrack/Movie, songs entitled I’d Give (Phillip Scott III), Infla Glow

(Da Neck Bonezs), Put it on me (Da Neck Bones Performed by Ideal). Ezalee

(Phillip Scott III performed by Envogues) and placed on the latest album

Sunflower this made the song a double release. New York Minute

Soundtrack/Movie, “Bring on the Bling” (Armond Flanagon Performed by Tezz

Dwayne “Tezz” Morgan career continues on the road of dynamic and resolute

creativity. His ability to compose lyrics; create layered and melodic harmonies

along with grimy/gutta/hip-hop hooks and arrangements. This gives Tezz a

reigning sound of his own.
